On September 18, 19 and 20 we’re holding our second Annual User Conference, Discover the Nile, in Toronto, Canada.

We’ve built upon the successes of last year’s event, to deliver a program that addresses the topics you told us were important.

1)   Why Attend the Conference?

  1. We’re rolling out Project Nile. The biggest change ever in COSS Manufacturing is planned for rollout in 2006 and this will be our first chance to share the details and plans – and collect ideas for ensuring your requirements can be accommodated.

  2. We’re finalizing an agenda that provides business information you indicated is important.

    • COSS functionality
    • Advanced and Beginner sessions
    • Hands-on training and learning
    • ACCPAC functionality

  3. This will provide the ultimate in networking opportunities. Looking for other manufacturers to see how they can deal with complex issues such at globalization, technology change, shrinking margins? They’ll be at this conference and happy to meet and share ideas.

  4. A hands-on technical Learning Lab is planned where you can sit face-to-face, one-to-one with staff from the COSS support desk and discuss some of your most complex issues, with the team from COSS who can listen, and fix what is of concern.

  5. Value, Value and more Value. We’ve set the registration price to provide value. We’re subsidizing this conference because it is so important to us to have everyone attend, participate and provide us with “market information”. It is our one chance to get input from not only our customers, but also our important channel partners.

  6. Fun. It is that simple. Toronto has lots to see and do and we’re building this into the conference. Plus for those who can come a day or two early, or stay late you’ll be able to see and do that much more.

2)   Who should Attend?

The event is a “must-attend” for all COSS customers, as it represents the single point in the year where we gather experts in COSS Manufacturing, ACCPAC and QuickBooks software. Experts in software implementation, development, and training; experts in manufacturing; and experts in operating efficiency.

Attendees should include Owners and Presidents; Business area management; frequent COSS Users; frequent ACCPAC users.

3)   Where is the Conference to be held?

The conference is located in downtown Toronto.

Toronto possesses the best features of the world in one clean, safe, friendly place. Consider this:

  • A theatre scene rivaled only by London and New York
  • More than 80 cultures from around the globe
  • Attractions that range from high art to lively family fun
  • Polished services for business travelers
  • A shopping mecca with international flair
  • A friendly, open and welcoming attitude
  • Some of the best dining the world has to offer
  • Year-round international festivals of film, culture, music and more
  • Miles of waterfront, beaches, boardwalks and trails
  • One of the safest cities in the world for residents and visitors alike
What could possibly make this any better? How about packing many of the most popular attractions within walking distance of each other! In downtown Toronto, a leisurely walk is all it takes to travel between thousands of hotel rooms, great sporting venues, the CN Tower, major convention centers, endless shopping, top theatre, the waterfront, and inspired cuisine.

And beyond the vibrant and quirky neighborhoods of the city are more fabulous attractions, plus breathtaking countryside, Niagara Falls, a world-class wine region and dozens of outdoor adventures – all just a short drive away.

So what are you waiting for? Come to Toronto and experience the world within a city™ for yourself.

4)   Conference Accommodations??

We’ve found one of the finest hotels in the City, the King Edward Hotel. Located right in the heart of the city, it is within walking distance of the major sites and sounds of Toronto. For more information visit Le Royal Meridien King Edward.

From the moment you arrive, and are greeted by a three-story atrium, and centuries old artifacts, you will be in awe of this hotel. Centrally located, luxurious, roomy and representative of a time long ago when travel was done in a slow leisurely manner, the King Edward still serves “high tea” at 3:00pm every Sunday afternoon.

We have negotiated a corporate rate of $179 Cdn per night at the King Edward Hotel. This compares very favorably with their normal room rate of $269 per night. Please contact them directly and register directly using the phrase "COSS Systems User Conference". They can be reached at Reservation Direct: (416) 863 0888, or Email: reservations.toronto@lemeridien.com.

The COSS corporate rate of $179 is also available for the Saturday before the event is to begin (September 17th). The Toronto Film festival, one of the worlds largest, has its Gala Closing on the 17th (with the King Edward one of the designated studio hotels) so if you are interested please confirm with the hotel as soon as possible, after all, they told me they will not bump Julia Roberts room for our event.

5)   Registration Information?

To register, please download and complete the registration form, and FAX it back to Dimpna Icasiano at 905 362 5035

Registration with the hotel should be made directly.

6)   Registration?

For those sending multiple registrants from each company, you’re entitled to a $50 discount for each registrant beyond the first. Combine these two and receive a $100 discount off an already low, low price.

We want you to join us, and are doing everything we can to keep this conference affordable, and packed with important information.

7)   What is Discover the Nile?

Discover the Nile is the theme for this year's conference. We picked this because we want you to take a journey with us, down one of the world's mightiest rivers, and discover and is new and exciting. A river that brings information, change, and life to millions along its path. COSS is developing a new version release with a launch date of Q1’06, and we’ve named it Project Nile. We adopted this name because it represents a major change as we assume new technology, enhanced functionality, and build in the changes and features you have requested. Its development represents an ongoing journey, and for COSS customers, it is a journey we take together.

Everyone on support is eligible for this new product, and it will be one of the main items for review and discussion at the meeting.
